About Us

The Inspirational Woman Foundation formed from Bradford’s Inspirational Women Awards (BIWA), which was established in 2012.

The awards were established to honour and recognise the achievements of Bradford Women from all backgrounds. Be it at home, in the community, at work or in business, the awards aimed to recognise Bradford’s inspirational women with a view to inspiring and aspiring future generations.

Following three successful years BIWA held the last awards ceremony in 2015, due to the ill health of the founder, as the awards were solely managed and funded through her efforts.

However even after the awards stopped enquiries from women for support continued and BIWA then became an officially registered foundation – Inspirational Woman Foundation CIC which now supports women who are in need of guidance, advice and support.

Over the last few years, the Inspirational Women Foundation has dealt with issues, such as sexual harassment, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, business support, legal support, job help, discrimination and benefits advice.

The foundation is funded through projects and activity work, such as the women awards, sports events and membership, this money then goes back into helping with causes to support women.

To provide an equal level playing field for women, whether that’s in the home, in the community, at work or in business.
